British rock band Muse has postponed its planned Istanbul concert to 2026 to cut ties with Turkish promoter DBL Entertainment, whose head criticized recent anti-government protests.
“After careful consideration and hearing the feedback from our fans, our show in Istanbul will now be postponed until 2026 so we can ensure DBL Entertainment will not be involved,” the band said on X.
The decision follows backlash from Turkish fans after DBL’s head, Abdulkadir Ozkan, condemned protests over the arrest of Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu, widely seen as politically motivated. Ozkan later claimed his remarks were misinterpreted and announced DBL’s withdrawal from all projects.
