Mohamed Fattah al-Burhan Rahman, the son of Sudan’s army chief Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, sustained grave injuries in a motorcycle accident after colliding with a light commercial vehicle directly ahead of him.
The collision forcefully propelled Rahman onto the road, where his body skidded along the dirt surface for several meters. The incident unfolded on Thursday evening along Kiraz Boulevard in the Kızılcasar district of the capital city, Ankara.
Upon alert from eyewitnesses, both health and police teams swiftly arrived at the scene.
Following an initial assessment by paramedics revealing severe injuries, Rahman received immediate on-site first aid before being swiftly transported to Bilkent City Hospital via ambulance.
The driver of the light commercial vehicle involved in the collision was subsequently apprehended by authorities.
Currently confined to the hospital’s intensive care unit, Rahman remains in critical condition, with his life hanging in the balance.
