US tells Israel it will not join Iran nuclear attacks

The United States has privately informed Israel it will not partake in any military operation against Iran.

According to Axios, Washington made it clear that Israel would act alone if it launched a strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

The Biden administration maintains a firm stance favouring diplomacy, avoiding direct military confrontation with Tehran.

It remains uncertain whether the US would offer intelligence or logistical support should Israel proceed unilaterally.

Neither American nor Israeli officials have publicly commented on the report, keeping the diplomatic atmosphere tense.

The Israeli military is on high alert, as reports suggest a possible strike could come as early as Sunday.

The Washington Post noted this depends on the outcome of ongoing nuclear negotiations in Oman.

US President Donald Trump acknowledged on Thursday that an Israeli attack “could very well happen,” warning of a “massive conflict.”

Iran, anticipating potential aggression, has reportedly prepared hundreds of ballistic missiles to strike Israeli targets in retaliation.

Iranian Defence Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh warned that US bases in the region would also be targeted “without hesitation” if conflict erupts.

In response, the US ordered non-emergency personnel to leave Baghdad and authorised dependents’ voluntary departure from Middle East bases.

Sunday’s Muscat talks will centre on Iran’s uranium enrichment, seen as the final chance to prevent military escalation.

The region now stands at a volatile crossroads, with diplomacy hanging in the balance and war looming ever closer.
