Ghana and Malawi pledged closer cooperation on digital transformation during a Malawian study tour of Accra.
A delegation from Malawi’s Office of the President and Cabinet visited Ghana’s Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations on Saturday.
Deputy Minister Mohammed Adams Sukparu welcomed the group, citing Ghana’s progress in digital infrastructure, identity systems and e-government platforms.
Officials from both nations compared notes on shared challenges facing digital governance across the African continent.
Deputy Chief Secretary Stuart Ligomeka, leading the Malawian team, called Ghana a key reference point for his country’s own transformation drive.
He said the visit followed a review of international models that identified Ghana as a regional leader in public service technology.
The delegation also recalled Malawi’s founding president, Hastings Kamuzu Banda, who once studied and lived in Ghana.
Both sides pledged sustained technical exchange to build more efficient, inclusive digital public services.
