At least 14 people have been killed after a plane carrying a military delegation crashed in southwestern Democratic Republic of Congo.
The aircraft was travelling from Kikwit to the capital, Kinshasa, when it developed a technical problem, according to Al Jazeera.
It then attempted to land in Kenge, in Kwango province.
The victims included civilians and military personnel. Two generals were also part of the delegation.
Plane crashes while attempting to land
The aircraft encountered difficulties during the journey and attempted to land in Kenge.
Remy Saki Bokinda, deputy governor of Kwango province, said there was no landing strip at the location, according to Al Jazeera.
The plane subsequently crashed into a residential plot.
Congolese military spokesperson Major-General Efomi Ekenge said 14 people were killed in the crash. Everyone on board died.
The passengers included members of an official delegation travelling with two generals, as well as civilians and other military personnel.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the DR Congo plane crash.
Officials said the aircraft experienced a technical problem before the attempted landing. However, the exact cause of the accident has not yet been established.
The crash occurred in Kwango province, southwest of Kinshasa.
