At least 30 civilians killed in Kordofan SAF airstrikes, legal group says

In their latest indiscriminate attack, General al-Burhan’s forces (SAF) conducted airstrikes in the Hamra al-Sheikh region of North Kordofan on Saturday, resulting in the deaths of at least 30 civilians and injuries to at least 100 others, as reported by a legal organization.

The attacks targeted the Hamra al-Sheikh and Abu Zuama areas, crucial links between the capital, Khartoum, and Darfur, which have been frequently struck during the ongoing conflict.

According to Emergency Lawyers, a human rights group, more than 100 individuals sustained injuries when SAF warplanes bombed residential areas and a bustling marketplace, leading to extensive casualties among civilians and livestock.

Local sources confirmed that there was no presence or military activity from the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in the town at the time of the strikes.
