Ethiopians held by human traffickers in South Africa have been rescued

In South Africa, 90 Ethiopian irregular migrants held by human traffickers were rescued by the police.

According to a statement from South African police, the operation in a building in Johannesburg, aimed at freeing Ethiopians kidnapped for ransom, led to the rescue of these 90 individuals.

They were found “locked in rooms under inhumane conditions” and were transferred to hospitals for medical care.

Two suspects believed to be human traffickers were arrested at the scene.
