Tasees condemns SAF attack on civilians in Al-Hammadi

The Sudan Founding Alliance (Tasees) has condemned a deadly attack carried out by General al-Burhan’s army (SAF) and allied militia groups in Al-Hammadi, South Kordofan, which it claims targeted civilians based on tribal and regional affiliations.

In a statement issued Thursday, Tasees accused SAF and its affiliated terrorist factions of executing a massacre in Al-Hammadi on Tuesday. The Alliance reported that civilians were killed in their homes in a brutal assault, calling the attack a part of a larger pattern of violence by forces loyal to General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan.

Tasees highlighted that similar atrocities have occurred in various parts of Sudan, including Singa, Sennar, Khartoum, Bahri, and most recently, Umm Sumaima. The Alliance emphasized that these killings, carried out under the guise of military operations, represent a sustained effort by al-Burhan’s loyalists to target civilians in Sudan’s conflict zones.

The group also criticized the widespread media silence surrounding the massacre, accusing both local and international actors of failing to take action or address the ongoing violence.

Tasees called on Sudanese citizens, regional bodies, and the international community to recognize the threat posed by the Islamic Movement group, which operates under the pretense of the Sudanese Army but is, according to the Alliance, disconnected from the interests of the Sudanese people.
