Trade volume between Egypt and Russia reaches $6 billion

Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov has affirmed that Moscow is working to develop its relationship with Egypt despite the attempts by a narrow circle of countries to legitimize their global dominance.

During the opening of an exhibition dedicated to the 80th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and Egypt, Lavrov stated, “We see more attempts to legitimize the dominance of a narrow group of countries on the global stage, but countries that respect themselves, value their history and traditions, defend their right to determine their development paths and independently choose their friends without any external demands or restrictions.”

He added, “On this basis, and based on respect for each other’s national interests, we are developing strategic partnership relations with Egypt and working to increase our trade and economic relations. In 2022, the trade volume reached 6 billion dollars.”
