Morocco and Saudi Arabia have further solidified their bilateral relationship by signing three agreements aimed at enhancing judicial and security cooperation.
The agreements, signed on Wednesday in Riyadh by Moroccan Justice Minister Abdelatif Ouahbi and Saudi Interior Minister Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef, cover a range of areas including mutual legal assistance in criminal matters, the transfer of sentenced individuals, and extradition procedures.
The Moroccan Ministry of Justice stated that the agreements are intended to bolster the effectiveness of judicial and security cooperation, particularly in areas such as investigation, prosecution, and combating crime.
By collaborating on these fronts, the two nations aim to strengthen their ability to address cross-border crime, reduce impunity, and implement effective rehabilitation programs for convicted individuals.
This latest development builds upon a previous judicial agreement signed in 2006, which established a framework for cooperation in areas such as document exchange, publication sharing, and judicial training.
