RSF broker a peace agreement between local tribes in South Darfur

Rapid Support Forces (RSF) managed to mediate a peace agreement between Salamat and Beni Halba tribes following civil conflict in Kubum Locality, South Darfur state.

The committee commended both tribes for their agreement to renounce violence, reach a peaceful resolution, and avoid being drawn into any tribal conflict in the region.

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) shared the signing of the agreement between the two tribes on their account on X (formerly Twitter) social media platform.

Continuing intense fighting between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has devastated the capital Khartoum and sparked ethnically driven attacks in Darfur, threatening to plunge Sudan into a protracted civil war and destabilise the region.
